ABOUT STEPH BRIGGS
With more than 30 years of international interior design experience, including extensive experience designing and delivering hotel and hospitality projects, Steph brings together creative thinking, operational understanding and practical design expertise.
From repositioning an existing motel or refreshing a tired hotel, to creating the concept for a new hospitality venue, every project begins by understanding the business — its guests, its story, its operations, its budget and where it wants to go.
We consider the complete guest experience: arrival, reception, accommodation, food and beverage spaces, lighting, furniture, finishes and the details guests remember.
For existing properties, we can also develop refurbishment strategies that prioritise where investment will have the greatest impact and allow improvements to be staged over time.
The result is not simply a beautiful interior.
It is a distinctive hospitality experience designed around your guests, your property and your business.
Testimonials
Steph Briggs from SBD managed the design and implementation process of our two new hospitality projects in 2024, Bar Mexico, 39 High Street Preston, and Hotel Mexico 238 Whitehall Street Yarraville.
Steph nailed the brief and brought the concept and brand to life and we couldn’t be happier with the end result. SBD delivered in all areas under a very challenging short time frame and worked within our build construction budget.
We have received extremely positive feedback from all our customers and they can’t believe the transformation of the venues.
John Forman - Director Bar Mexico and Hotel Mexico
We worked with Steph Briggs to conceptualize our Brands into 2 similar but different Projects from the commencement of 2024. Our brands were to be fun, authentic to Mexican culture, the passion for Tequila, Music, Tacos Buenas Vibras was to translate in the design. To transport our customers to a familiar place, perhaps take them back to memories of a trip to Mexico.
Steph hit the brief, her hands on approach meant she ensured every detail of our project was accurate and on point. She was available to meet us whenever we required, even when we required some design changes, it was never an issue. A great person to work with and even to this date, drops in to ensure even our plants are growing properly.
She was able to source all our furniture, through her in-depth list of contacts, we managed to tick off the list of all our requirements easily and at very competitive prices.
We look forward to working with Steph on future projects together.
