SBD has a passion for designing small spaces. Clever use of planning and storage to achieve a home that is comfortable, manageable and maintainable even when mobility may become an issue. Keeping people safely in their homes longer is a goal for the downsizing process. Designing accessible storage and layouts that facilitate graceful ageing is a wonderful challenge.

But it is not only older people who downsize. Many people chose to live in smaller spaces for a variety of reasons and designing these can be exciting and can make the transition to a smaller space incredibly rewarding. There are so many ways that a smaller space can improve your lifestyle so long as the space works well and is designed for the needs of each client.
